Entrance to all ensembles in the Greatbatch School of Music is by audition and permission of the director. Auditions are normally held at the beginning of each semester. Audition sign-up schedules are posted in the CFA atrium. Call the music office (x4000, 585.567.9400) for more information, or contact ensemble directors directly.

Participation scholarships may be available to qualified non-majors, depending on availability of funds and the needs of the ensemble.

Entering new students may proceed with ensemble registration at the time of course selection, with the understanding that a playing audition will be required at the start of the semester. Non-majors wishing to use ensemble participation to satisfy Liberal Arts Exploration fine arts requirements should be careful to register for the 100-level section of their ensemble, not an upper level.
