2002 IN REVIEW

The young Highlander team had a roller-coaster season playing against some of the top teams in NCAA II and III. The team finished with an 8-10 record, closing the season with a 4-5 loss to Elmira in the title game of the Houghton Postseason Invitational. Abigail Phillips led the team in both goals (8) and assists (6). Rochelle Hershey added six goals and five assists and freshman Kelly Mazzeo had a great debut campaign with five goals and four assists. Laura Kline played every minute (1,260) in goal, stopping 170 shots while registering four shutouts and a 2.17 goals against average.
