Men's Soccer 1998 Season Review 

The Highlanders finished another successful season with a trip to the region tournament and a record of 14-4-1. 

The team lost to Roberts Wesleyan, 1-0, in the Northeast Atlantic Conference title game and to Husson College, 3-2, in double overtime at the region tournament in Bangor, Maine. Houghton was ranked No. 2 in the Northeast Region and No. 16 in the final NAIA poll. 

Five members of the Houghton College men’s soccer team earned postseason recognition for their play during the 1998 season. 
 
Jeremy John (Sr; Boca Raton, Fla.) and Sanjeev Parmar (Jr; Campbell River, British 
Columbia, Canada) were named NAIA Honorable Mention All-America, First Team 
All-Northeast Region, and First Team All-Northeast Atlantic Conference; Aaron Rose (Sr; 
Spencerport, N.Y.) was named Second Team All Northeast Region and First Team 
All-Conference; and Stetson Knight (Sr; Kingston, Jamaica) and Nick Konawalik (So; 
Brodheadsville, Pa.) were named First Team All Conference.
