CONSIDERING GRADUATE SCHOOL?

Career Services assists students in the graduate school planning and application process in the following ways:  Individual career counseling, Graduate Admission & Testing Resources, Graduate School Resource Links, critique of grad school essays.  In addition, you might find helpful information completing an Internship in a field of interest.

For student convenience, the Career Services office maintains a collection of catalogs from colleges and universities in the U.S. and foreign countries, and numerous graduate program fliers.  The Career Library also houses the Peterson's Guide to Graduate and Professional Programs in: Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, Biological Sciences, Mathematics, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Business, Education, Health, Information Studies, Law, and Social Work. 

NEW Cash for Grad School: The Ultimate Guide to Grad School Scholarships, by Cynthia Ruiz McKee and Phillip C. McKee, Jr., is a new addition to our library. 

Financing Graduate School by Patricia McWade is an excellent resource for learning about funding sources, aide eligibility, assistantships/fellowships, funds for study abroad, funding for international students, and application procedures for grants. 

Other helps include: How to Write a Winning Personal Statement for Graduate and Professional School by Richard Steltzer, the video Getting Into Graduate School, featuring Donald Asher, as well as Asher's book Graduate Admissions Essays. 

The Gourman Report is a rating of graduate and professional degree programs in American colleges and universities.

Computer-based testing for
            GRE, GMAT, LSAT, VCAT, MCAT and MANY others . . .

Not SURE which test you need, or interested in more than one?  Petersons.com and Gradview.com and Educational Testing Services offer a comprehensive review of graduate school tests and preparation, along with handy links.

GRE Test prep materials are provided for each candidate upon registering for an exam.  But if you want to get a head start, GRE Practice programs are available for download from the GRE website.  Over 100 authentic test questions, practice with the writing assessment, and more.   Visit www.gre.org, click on "Test Takers" and then "Test Preparation." 

Another site for test preparation is http://www.studyguidezone.com/ where you can choose practice exercises for a wide variety of tests including the GRE, GMAT, and MCAT.
