The purpose of this booklet is to gather into one place a listing of the scholarship works of Houghton College faculty. These works have been grouped into six categories and even those six create some ambiguity at times. Our purpose is primarily to distinguish those among us who exercise their prerogative to participate in research, writing, and professional activities. Opportunity is also given to recognize efforts to serve the broader community in ways made possible by disciplinary expertise.

Developed a new curriculum for the Organ Service Playing course, which corresponds to requirements for national certification (AGO Service Playing Certificate). Spring, 1997.

Worked with two students to revise their papers for submission to the New York State Communication Association. Both papers were accepted for presentation; one of the papers was awarded "Best Undergraduate Paper."

Co-authored with Rhea Reed, P.A.C.E. Student and Instructor's manual for "Accounting and finance for Non-Financial Managers."

Thomas Kettelkamp

Development of a partnership program with world Hope International and Houghton College. Development of "Hope Corps" as a service-learning initiative, which networks host academic institutions with service-learning projects in urban, rural and international settings.

Resurrected and restructured Old Testament Historical Books course which I taught on West Seneca Campus in August, 1984, but which had never been taught on this campus until Fall, 1997.

With 33 Houghton College students, went to La Ceiba and Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Served in refugee camps, school reconstruction and worked flooded areas produced by Hurricane Mitch. January, 1999.

A Solar Water Heater System for STTNI, a Bible College on Java A collaborative project funded by the Teagle Foundation. The project involved Mount Vernon Nazarene College (represented by Ron Rohe), Petra Christian University, and STTNI. Dates of project: May-June, 2001.

Patents: Patent Number: 5,567,944; Inventors: Rohe and Valentine; Title: "Compton Camera For In-Vivo Medical Imaging Of Radiopharmaceuticals."

Certification: Certified in "Medical Nuclear Physics" by the American Board of Radiology.

Represented Houghton at Middle States Self-Study review to those in this process. Presented a workshop on November 11-12, 1997, Philadelphia.

President, Christian Association for Psychological Studies, International (March, 1998 to April, 1999).

Re-elected, April 2000, to serve another term on the International Board of Directors for the Christian Association for Psychological Studies.

Reviewed several manuscripts (with formal written feedback to authors) in my role as consulting editor to the Journal of Psychology and Christianity.
