HOUGHTON COLLEGE CHAMBER SINGERS

The HOUGHTON COLLEGE CHAMBER SINGERS is the most selective choral ensemble on campus.  It is comprised of graduate and undergraduate vocal performance and music education students who are interested in a broad and diverse literature perspective.  In recent years it has performed masterworks by Brahms, Duruflé, Elgar,  Fauré, Mozart, Haydn, Mendelssohn, and Vaughan Williams.  It is also committed to the performance of more contemporary works and has performed works by Bernstien, Wolfram Buchenberg, René Clausen, William Dawson, David Dickau, William Hawley,  Gyorgy Orban, Alice Parker, Ward Swingle, James Taylor, Eric Whitacre Mack Wilberg and Robert Young.

The ensemble meets first semester only and often performs off campus.  If you would like you have the Houghton College Chamber Singers visit your church or event contact Donald Schuessler.
