My child was ìwell taken care ofî this year.
I never worried about her because of the caring atmosphere at Houghton.
the professors are wonderful as well as the staff. I only wish I
could afford to allow her to continue her education there. We simply
cannot do this and put ourselves and our child in a ìfinancialî situation.

I am thankful for Christian colleges (such
as Houghton) that require adherence to consistently high moral Biblical
standards for both faculty and students. I would like for the telephone
service to be more reliable so I could easily reach my son.

Very pleased overall. Thank you.

Thank you Dr. Heiss for working with our daughter
in determining her learning disability.

February break ended up not being a ìbreakî.
Profs gave more work since students had a week off. Students needed the
break from intense work but our student and her friends had even more work
piled on. Thank you!

It would be awesome to get more facilities
concerning the gym. The weight cage is pretty limited and if it were
larger I think more students would use it.
-
Would appreciate phone billing to be taken
care of through student accounts if preferred by student/family.

I feel (as a parent) as a Christian college
the students and faculty should practice more tolerance/acceptance of people
regardless of denomination; after all we are ALL Godís children.
-
I think Houghton needs to be more responsible
for what is going on in the Townhouses.

My son, as a freshman, was assigned a part-time
new faculty woman. She was never available to him and he wasnít enthused
that it was a woman who didnít know what was going on. Perhaps if
heíd had an advisor who could relate to him and be available to advise
him more, heíd made it through the year. Our son dropped out in March.
Some reasons have to do with him- But, the advisor issue bothers us as
parents; he hated the dining room hours being so short, and he felt all
the people in charge were old and not very understanding of kids.
He also hated the orientation class (when we went to college we didnít
have to sit thru and did quite fine) because he felt it was one more boring
required thing that seemed to have no purpose to him.
