Occasionally the activities of the Houghton Philharmonia and chamber music intersect in order for students to perform the repertoire that has been written for string orchestra. Music of Corelli, Vivaldi, Bach, Grieg, and others has been performed. These groups are directed by both Dr. Gregory Magie, conductor of the Houghton Philharmonia, and Prof. Donna Lorenzo, assistant professor of violin and coordinator of strings.
