Instructor of Secondary Vocal Methods
Ms. Giambrone has been Conductor/Music Director of the Buffalo Choral Arts Society (BCAS) since March of 1987. Highlights of her tenure with BCAS include three European Tours, appearances with many local artistic organizations including the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, premiers of choral works by local composers, and performances with guest conductors including, Andre J. Thomas and Peter Bagley. In January 2006, BCAS performed ‘Mass of the Children, under the baton of its composer, John Rutter, in New York City’s Carnegie Hall.
During her teaching career in West Seneca NY, Ms. Giambrone received numerous local and state awards and honors including Outstanding Choral Director (NYACDA), Choral Conductor of the Year (BPO/ECMC) and Educator of the Year. Performing as an auditioned choral participant for several years under the direction of Robert Shaw in New York’s Carnegie Hall Choral Workshop for conductors and singers is a highlight of Ms. Giambrone’s training.
Along with her workshop/clinician, adjudication, and guest conducting duties, Ms. Giambrone teaches Secondary Vocal/Choral Methods at Houghton College and is a supervisor of student teachers at the State University College at Fredonia.
