Violist, violinist, and violist d'amore Donna Lorenzo has performed nationally and internationally on five continents. Her solo and chamber music experience includes performances at La Scala, Paris Opera, Leipzig's Gewandhaus, etc. and at major music festivals such as the Salzburg, Aspen, Edinburgh, Gstaad, Jerusalem and others. In 1979 she was invited to be principal violist with I Solisti Veneti, performing and recording with them for many years in major halls and other venues worldwide. Ms. Lorenzo also performs regularly as a recitalist and is a regular performer at the Roycroft and Chamber Music on Elmwood festivals and completed performances of all six of Vivaldi's concerto for viola d'amore with the Ars Nova Chamber musicians of Buffalo, New York. In addition to her performance activity, Ms. Lorenzo also researches new music for viola and viola d'amore.

Ms. Lorenzo's teaching experience includes coaching chamber music, orchestral repertoire and master classes as well as private studio teaching.In 2003 she was honored with the Eastman School of Music prize for outstanding private studio teaching. Many of her students have gone on to musical careers.

Ms. Lorenzo holds degrees from the Juilliard School of Music, and Houghton College and is a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music.
