Location
The Student Health Center is located in the Gillette Hall Basement.  Enter from the parking lot between Gillette Hall and the Campus Center.

Health Center Hours
Open    Mon.–Fri.                     8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Doctor's hours                         Daily by appointment

Appointments
Students can be evaluated by a nurse without an appointment at anytime the SHC is open.  Upon evaluation, if it is felt that a student needs to see the physician, an appointment is then scheduled with the doctor.  Usually we can accommodate same day visits.

The Student Health Center will bill insurance companies for medical services provided at the college health center. Because office visit copays and deductibles are considered to be pre-paid by a portion of general tuition, students should have little to no out of pocket costs when they seek medical care on campus. Medication copays and lab fees may still apply depending on the terms of individual insurance policies. Students are asked to bring their insurance card with them whenever they visit the health center. If the physician is not available on site and a student is referred to an off site facility (doctor’s office, urgent care, ER, etc) the student’s insurance will be billed by the rendering facility and the student will be responsible for any co-pays as outlined in their insurance policy.

After Hours Care
When the health center is closed, students with emergent health needs should contact 911.  If the issue is not a life threatening emergency, then questions should be directed to the Residence Life Staff (RA, ARD, or RD) who have a list of contacts that they can use if needed to help decide whether transport to an urgent care or ER is needed.
