  • 1st (Mon) - Meet 'n Greet - 5:30 in Java 101
    Come by Java 101 for coffee, snacks, and a chance to meet and chat with Brian Webb the new Intercultural Student Programs guy.
     
  • 2nd (Tue) - Meet 'n Greet - 5:30 in Java 101
    Come by Java 101 for coffee, snacks, and a chance to meet and chat with Brian Webb the new Intercultural Student Programs guy.
     
  • 4th (Thu) - Meet 'n Greet - 5:30 in Java 101
    Come by Java 101 for coffee, snacks, and a chance to meet and chat with Brian Webb the new Intercultural Student Programs guy.
     
  • 8th (Mon) - Canadian Thanksgiving - 6:00 in the Alumni Dining room
    All Canadian students, faculty, and staff are invited to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving together in the Alumni Dining Room. Dinner will be provided for food services (faculty and staff will be paid for by the ISPO) and will include traditional Thanksgiving fare.
     
  • 18th (Thu) - Football Game - 2:00 at the Field of Dreams
    Come play real football (also referred to as soccer in some countries) with other international students and tck's during Fall break.
  • 19th (Fri) - Movie Night - 7:00 at Heather' Hill's apartment
    Enjoy a movie, snacks, and conversation during the Fall break weekend. If you need directions to Heather's apartment, email her or Brian to find out how to get there.
     
  • 22nd (Mon) - Driver's License meeting - 5:30 in Campus Center basement
    If you are interested in getting your New York state driver's license this semester meet briefly in the campus center basement to get more information.
     
  • 22nd (Mon) - Salsa Night - 8:00 in Java 101
    The first annual Faculty/Staff salsa making competition will be held in Java 101 tonight. Also, there will be free coffee tasting of a variety of coffees from around the Hispanic world in addition to fun Hispanic music.
     
  • 28th (Sun) - Hispanic Church Service - 8:00 - 4:00 in Rochester
    We will be taking a group of students up to Rochester to take part in a Hispanic church service. We will leave from the campus center at 8:00 am and should return by around 4:00 pm. The ride is free, but bring money for lunch. RSVP to Brian if you plan to go.
     
  • 30th (Thu) - ISA Coffeehouse - 8:00 in Campus Center Lounge
    ISA will be hosting a coffeehouse with free drinks and desserts in conjunction with New Vision Week. Come by for fellowship, fun, food, and stories. It will also be a good chance to meet and socialize with New Vision Week representatives.
     

November

  • 3rd (Sat) - Rochester Shopping Trip - 4:00 - 10:00 pm
    We'll take a van of students up to Rochester where you can do shopping at the mall, Target, Wal-Mart, thrift stores, etc. Plan to eat dinner up there. RSVP to Brian by Friday the 2nd if you plan to go.
     
  • 21st - 25th - Thanksgiving Break
    The residence halls are closed during this time. It is your responsibility to find housing during the break. Let Brian know if you cannot find a place to stay.
     

December

  • 3rd (Mon) - International Christmas party - 6:00 at the Webb's house
    Christmas party at Brian & Becky's! We'll bake Christmas cookies, listen to Christmas music, and drink hot apple cider. In addition, be sure to bring a "white elephant gift". If you've never done a white elephant gift party before, it is meant to be a gag (joke) gift that is funny and very cheap - no more than $5. Feel free to bring a friend. 
     
  • 6th (Thu) - Host Family Christmas Dinner - 5:30 in Dining Hall
    Potluck dinner with your host family and other international/tck students in the dining hall. Host families, bring a dish to share. Students are welcome and encouraged to bring a dish if you want to, but are not expected to do so.
     
  • 14th (Fri) - Start of Christmas Break
    Residence halls close beginning Friday afternoon the 14th of December and are closed until Sunday, January 6th.
