  • 15th (Tue) - International Poetry Night in Java
Open to all Houghton students: Students are welcome to read or recite poetry in another language or about another culture. International students & TCK's are encouraged to share some of their own personal poetry and writing. Snacks & coffee will be provided.

  • 20th (Sun) - German Church service in ROC - 7:15 am - 1:00 pm

  • 26th (Sat) - International Banquet & Bazaar
The International Banquet features delicious food from all over the world, prepared by Houghton's own international students. In addition to good food, there will be music, fun clothes, and cool decorations. The International Bazaar will feature international crafts for sale, as well as fun interactive games and events.

February

  • 1st (Fri) - Hockey Game (Canadian students only)
All Canadian students, Canadian MK's, and significant others of Canadians are invited to see the Rochester Americans vs. the Toronto Marlies on Friday night in Rochester. We will be purchasing group tickets ahead of time, so be sure to RSVP to Brian if you want a ticket. Tickets will be $5 for the first 15 students to RSVP. Transportation will be free.

  • 8th - 9th (Fri-Sat) - International/TCK Retreat
We'll be spending Friday night and all day Saturday down at Penn-York Camp just across the border in Pennsylvania. This will be a great time to get away and get to know the other international and TCK students better. We'll play games, chat, have campfires, build snowforts, and go tubing in the snow! In addition there are lots of other activities available at the camp such as cross country skiing, indoor games such as ping pong and volleyball. Cost is only $15 (scholarships are available for students who want to go but cannot afford the cost). RSVP to Brian by January 31.

  • 13th (Wed) - NY Driving Course - 3:15 - 10:00
