Call Hold and Resume

Placing a Call on Hold:
During the call, click the button. The call will be placed on hold. The held call line will turn red.

Retrieving the Call
Click the red held call line to retrieve the call.

When Multiple Calls are on Hold:
You can switch between multiple held calls be click the line (1-6) that they were held on.
 

Conferencing

Creating a Conference Call:
A conference may be created with up to 6 other parties using your phone's conference feature. Click and available call line key (2-6). Your original call will be placed on hold.
Dial the second party.
Click the key then press the call line key that the first call is held on.
Repeat these steps to add additional parties.

Splitting a Conference:
You can split up the members of your conference by clicking the call line key they are on. You can rejoin them by clicking and then selecting their call line key.
 

Do Not Disturb

Activating Do Not Disturb:
Click the button to prevent your phone from ringing. All incoming calls will go directly to voicemail.

Deactivating Do Not Disturb:
Click the button again to deactivate Do Not Distrub.

Forwarding

Activating Call Forward:
Right click your phone's display and then click Settings...
Expand your sipx.houghton.edu sip account and then click Advanced.
Select the Go to forward URL Forwarding method.
Enter the extension you wish to forward to in the Forward URL box.
Enter 8 followed by your extension if you wish for all your calls to go directly to voicemail.
Click OK.

Deactivating Call Forward:
Right click your phone's display and then click Settings...
Expand your sipx.houghton.edu sip account and then click Advanced.
Select the No forwarding Forwarding method.
Click OK.
 

Redial

Redialing Your Last Call:
Click the button.

Redialing From Your Placed Called List:
Click Dial Calls to expand your list.
Double click on the number/person to call.
 

Transferring

Announced Transfer:
During a call, click an available call line key (2-6).
Dial the party you wish to transfer to.
Announce who you are transferring.
Click the button, then click the held call line to connect the two parties.

Blind Transfer:
During a call, click the button.
Dial the party you wish to transfer to, then press Enter (or click ).


Transferring Directly to Voicemail:
During a call, click the button.
Dial 8 followed by the extension. Then press Enter (or click ).
