Logging in for the First Time
Accessing the voicemail system:
From your phone, Dial 101.
The voicemail system will prompt you for your personal identification number. Enter your extension number and then press #.

Recording your name:
Press 5 for personal options, then press 2 to record your name.
Record your name, then press #.
You will then be given the option to press 1 to listen, press 2 to accept, or press 3 to re-record.
Press 2 to accept if you are satisfied with your recorded name.

Recording your standard greeting:
Press 1 to record your standard greeting.
Record your standard greeting, then press #.
You will then be given the option to press 1 to listen, press 2 to accept, or press 3 to re-record.
Press 2 to accept if you are satisfied with your standard greeting.

Changing your personal identification number:
Press 5 to change your personal identification number.
Enter your current personal identification number (your extension) then press #.
Enter your new personal identification number, then press #.
Enter your new personal identification a second time as confirmation, then press #.
The system should tell you that your personal identification number has been changed.
Repeat these steps if the system tells you an error has occurred. This is normally a sign that your current identification was not entered correctly.

Hang up.

 

Accessing your Voicemail from a Phone
Accessing voicemail system from your phone:
From your phone, Dial 101.
The voicemail system will prompt you for your personal identification number. Enter your personal identification number and then press #.

Accessing your voicemail from someone else's phone:
Dial 101.
Press # to log into a difference voicemail box.
Dial your extension.
The voicemail system will prompt you for your personal identification number. Enter your personal identification number and then press #.

Accessing your voicemail from off-campus:
Dial 585 567 9600.
Press # to log into your voicemail box.
Dial your extension.
The voicemail system will prompt you for your personal identification number. Enter your personal identification number and then press #.

Listening to your messages:
Press 1 to listen to new messages.
Any of the following options can be used while the message is playing:
 
  1 Play message information (date, time, send by, and phone number)
  2 Replay message from beginning
  3 Save
  4 Delete
  5 Forward to another mailbox
  6 Reply to sender (if they are on our phone system)
  # Play next message
  * Return to main menu

After listening you can simply hang up.
