NEW RULES ARE INDICATED IN LIGHT BLUE TYPE
UNUSUAL RULES ARE INDICATED IN RED TYPE

Rules overview Two or more players play co-operatively on the Legendary skill level, attempting to finish the map successfully and as quickly as possible. No attempt need be made to kill 100% of the enemy creatures on a map.

Teams A group of Myth players who successfully complete a level on Legendary will be referred to in these rules as a "team".

A team need not be composed of members of the same order, nor of the same group of people as one used before. Team creation is entirely flexible, as long as each team involves at least two players.

Any team may, if it turns in a film that qualifies to be posted on this page, also submit a team name.

Level specifications Each map must be played on the Legendary skill level--and "from scratch", so no veterans carry over from a previous game.

If players lag out of the game, those players which remain will be given credit.

Opened maps A map will be considered "open" when a news item declaring such is posted on the News page of this site. Please do not send us films for any map which has not yet been declared open.

Once a map is opened for submissions, it is open for good.

Submitting films If a team submits a film, and that team appears in its entirety elsewhere in the top five for that map, then that team's time will be knocked from the list and replaced by the new, faster time. (This is to encourage variety both in team make-up and on our lists. A team which differs by even one person will not be affected!)

Please submit films by emailing the contest organizers. Rename films wisely (for example, Crows_Bridge_0455), and send them unzipped. Please include the names of your team members, your time, and a team name (optional) in the email's text.

Ranking films When a map opens, it will remain so until the next map(s) are opened. During that time, submit your times and films. The films will not be reviewed, but simply stored. The top five times will be posted according to the following guidelines:

(1) Every film must represent the best current effort of each member of the team. For example, if Hoolio is on the #4 team and Dillpup is on the #2 team, and Hoolio and Dillpup team up, then their goal is to beat the #2 time.

(2) Please don't send us a batch of films. Instead, send us your best effort for a given series of attempts. Use your best judgement. If you want a specific target: only send us one film per day, at most.

As soon as the next batch of maps opens, previously opened maps will be "locked down". Films for those maps will be reviewed and posted. From that time on, only films which beat the first place time will be accepted. The top five films as of "lockdown" will be posted on this page forever (if the films are legal), as will any film that is added thereafter.

To sum up: proceed as you have been! "Old" maps are still open, but don't send in films for "old" maps unless they beat the first place time.

Being naughty Not that we expect any troubles, but if anyone submits a naughty film (for example, one played on a skill level less than Legendary, or with veterans), that person will be disqualified from the rest of this contest and the one during Myth II as well.

The contest organizers reserve the right to define "naughty" as individual cases of it arise.

In conclusion If you have comments concerning this idea, or any of these rules, please email the organizers! We hope this contest adds to your bungie.net experience. It certainly has made Myth even more fun for us than it had been already!
